Heirloom Baby owner, Robyn Peters, started a small business working at home over 15 years ago to fit her time around looking after her two young children.

A talented craftswoman, Robyn produced knitted shawls, baby dresses and then Christening gowns, and as word-of-mouth spread everything she made sold quickly. Her focus was always on high quality, hand-made garments for babies using natural fabrics, silks, Swiss cottons and French laces with hand embroidery and smocking finishes.

After moving to a smaller house and running out of room (and patience from her family!) and with regular clients asking to view her work, Robyn finally made the decision six years ago to start her own shop to showcase her work and other quality products.

Following on from her creation of beautiful garments, Robyn has worked hard to create a beautiful space that is welcoming for all. The shop features so many special hand-picked pieces and she has succeeded in providing the perfect mix of both quality babywear and homeware. Many customers are looking for gifts and of course end up purchasing mainly for themselves!

Robyn loves the giftwear side of the business – particularly the sourcing and buying. She never buys in bulk and strives to showcase products that are not found in department stores. There is always something new and different and if you are lucky, you will also come across some of her own handmade Christening gowns and outfits.
